Central Contra Costa Sanitary District Utilizes Accela Asset ManagementSoftware tracks inventory of sewer system assets and manages maintenance schedules
The ChallengeThe Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD) provides service for approximately 430,000 residents and businesses in 11 communities in Central Contra Costa County. The District was looking for a new computerized maintenance management solution that could combine all of the features they needed into one program and be a part of an asset management strategy. The SolutionThe District selected Accela Asset Management, a flexible software solution that provides tools for the District to make it easy to perform asset and maintenance analysis. The District can automatically check line segments both upstream and downstream to see if work orders can be combined with upcoming scheduled maintenance. The District also uses the program's reporting tool to evaluate performance and monitor operations on a regular basis. The ResultSince implementing Accela Asset Management, CCCSD has seen continual improvement in the daily operations of the sanitary district. Sanitary overflows have been reduced and incoming service requests have decreased as well.
