Amber D’Ottavio is the Senior Manager of Product Management at Accela, responsible for driving product strategy and roadmap. Amber has over 15 years of experience developing technology for government agencies and their communities. She joined the company in 2005 and has served in various engineering and product management roles. Prior to joining Accela, she built products that help create a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals. She is passionate about helping people shape better communities through participation, education and effective use of technology. In her spare time, Amber enjoys outdoor adventures with her family including hiking, swimming and skiing.

Aaron joined Accela in 2010 following a decade of experience as a technology consultant serving both public and private sectors. Working for Accela Services from 2010-2013, Aaron was a technical lead, implementing Accela products across the nation. From business process to design to implementation and maintenance, Aaron is an Accela expert. Aaron joined the Customer Success team in 2013, bringing his comprehensive experience and applied skills to help agencies optimize their use of the Civic Platform.


In his spare time, Aaron enjoys climbing, mountaineering, alpine touring and all forms of wandering with his wife. He also plays fingerpicking blues guitar and has a dog named Blue.

As Director of Government Relations for Accela, Tim Woodbury helps governments leverage technology to deliver better services and improve citizen engagement. A self-confessed “good government geek,” Tim works with government, associations and community leaders to translate policy priorities into real-world results. His current projects cover issues such as economic development, sustainability, resiliency, public safety and open data.


Prior to joining Accela, Tim served as an advisor to U.S. Senator Tom Udall and as a government relations professional at Accenture, a technology and consulting firm.


Tim holds a law degree from American University, Washington College of Law, and received both his Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire.

Darryl Booth is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Accela’s Environmental Health Division. With twenty years’ experience in Public Health and Informatics, Darryl’s passions include promoting field inspection solutions, GIS, open data, engineering data exchanges, collaborative data standards, nd all other technical matters that can propel government.


Darryl’s column in the Journal of Environmental Health, Building Capacity, seeks out right-minded technology projects that increase the capacity for health professionals to fulfill their missions and elevate the profession. As a Technical Advisor to the National Environmental Health Association, Darryl guides educational sessions, directs standards and advises on technical strategy for the association.


Darryl has an MBA from the Craig School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno. He sits on several federal, state and regional committees and is fanatical about environmental health.

Ciaran Gilsenan is the Founder and CEO of Buildingeye Inc. He is a qualified Civil Engineer and has spent over 13 years in the Building and Planning sector. He has designed and managed large scale construction projects from concept to completion. While in that role he interacted continuously with Government departments and members of the public.

Karin Vertefeuille is Director of Business Development for Accela, where she works to help government become more effective, more efficient and more open to the public. Ms. Vertefeuille has over 26 years of direct experience working with government agencies, with 13+ years working for the State of Connecticut. As a Director of Licensing with the State of Connecticut, Ms. Vertefeuille dealt with the regulation of hundreds of different license types. This gave her a broad level of experience with the government regulation from trade and professional licensing, alcoholic beverage control, food and weight & measures registration, and more, from application through the enforcement processes. She was also Project Manager implementing an enterprise eLicensing system with the State, providing her firsthand experience with the intricacies of introducing new technology in a large agency.


Ms. Vertefeuille took a leap in the technology business as a Director of Sales & Marketing at a competitor software firm, working with state licensing agencies across the country. Joining Accela nine years ago, Ms. Vertefeuille has helped Accela expand its message and product into state and municipal licensing agencies. Ms. Vertefeuille has introduced new regulatory solutions for improved services to over 75 agencies and brings a unique understanding to her clients. Having been there for the days of licensing on paper cards to the ever-changing age of technology, she can help navigate to the right solution.


She hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Central Connecticut State University and is an elected official in her hometown as Vice Chair of the Board of Education.
