Josh Frank is a Product Marketing Manager at Accela working with products such as CivicData, Right of Way Management, Asset Management and Environmental Health & Safety. Josh brings several years of marketing experience, having worked with firms such as eBay, Intuit and other startups in Silicon Valley and Austin, Texas. Josh has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin as well as a BA from the University of British Columbia.

Brad Steer is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Accela Right of Way Management business unit located in Woburn, MA. Brad brings a 20+ year track record of sales and marketing and senior-level management experience to the team, where he is developing new markets and expanding business opportunities for the company's growing portfolio of online solutions. Most recently, Steer was Vice President of Public Safety Services/Sales for Rave Mobile Safety. Prior positions include Senior Vice President of Sales for TeleAtlas, where he drove impressive growth, culminating in a $4.5 billion acquisition by navigation industry leader TomTom. As Regional Vice President of Sales for the Northeast Business Services Group at Sprint/Nextel, Steer was awarded its highest recognition for excellence, the Diamond Award. Steer holds a BA/BS in Economics and Business from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and is GE Six Sigma Certified. In addition, he serves on several charitable boards and was WalkAmerica Boston Chair for two years, helping to more than double donations.

Andrew joined Accela in 2005 as a Product Manager having come from an Accela agency where he had administered the Civic Platform. His background is in Geography with emphasis on Urban Economic Planning and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). After spending 5 years as Accela Automation Product Manager, Andrew took on new role of Solution Architect helping new agencies understand how the platform can meet their needs. In July of 2013, Accela asked Andrew to help with the creation of the Customer Success team to help our agencies optimize their usage of the Accela platform. The Customer Success team works to improve the overall customer experience by providing new types of support and engagement that help agencies get the most out of the Accela platform. In his spare time, Andrew is an avid hockey fan (Go Blackhawks!). He also enjoys travel, skiing, riding his road bike, and most importantly - spending time with his family.

Daryl leads the Accela Legislative Management Business Unit, expanding the way government agencies develop and share legislative content, making it simple for citizens to participate in the decisions that impact their lives and their community. Daryl’s vision and understanding of government technology has made him a valued consultant for many public sector entities. Daryl received his Bachelors in Computer Science from Polytechnic University, New York in 1998. After graduating, he founded IQM2 and built the organization into an industry leader by helping the public sector govern more effectively while driving efficiency, cost savings and citizen awareness. IQM2 was awarded the prestigious 2010 SIIA’s CODiE Award for Best Emerging Software Company and the LISA Award for Software Excellence.

Seth Axthelm is a Developer Evangelist with Accela, where he works with developers developing innovative solutions with the Accela Civic Platform and the Construct API. Previously, as Director of Solution Architecture for Accela Professional Services, he played a key role as an Accela Architect for the New York State eLicensing program. Working with the Accela Civic Platform since 2005, Seth has helped many jurisdictions streamline and add efficiencies within their processes. You can find him at @sethaxthelm.

Lawrence Grodeska is a Senior Product Manager at Accela, where he builds apps that are transforming how citizens interact with their communities and local governments. Prior to Accela, Lawrence built the content marketing program at the world’s platform for change, Change.org, and released the City and County of San Francisco‘s first mobile app which helped to spur the open data movement in the Bay Area.


Lawrence is the co-founder of the democracy and technology community CivicMakers. He regularly speaks about civic engagement at events such as SXSW Interactive, Nonprofit Technology Conference, and Code for America Summit. You can find him at @grodeska.
