Julian D. Muñoz is the Vice President of Procurement
at Accela and oversees the Company's worldwide expansion efforts.
He was one of the original principals of OpenData Systems
and has been with Accela since 1989. He has served as Principal-in-Charge
on innumerable large scale implementations for Accela and
has developed specific expertise
in all non-technical aspects of major system implementations.
His familiarity with governmental operations began as an architect
and co-founder of a 25-person architectural and planning firm in
San Francisco—a position that provided him with extensive
knowledge and expertise into a myriad of public agency processes.
Mr. Muñoz is currently chairman of the Pan American Society
of California, and has served the Republic of Costa Rica as a diplomatic
attaché and as an alpine skiing athlete at the 1988 Calgary
and 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. He holds bachelor's and master's
degrees in architecture from
the University of California at Berkeley.
