Maury Blackman
President and Chief Executive Officer
Maury Blackman is the president and chief executive officer
of Accela, Inc.
Blackman joined the company in April 2000 serving in a variety
of business development capacities. Most recently, he served
the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing,
a position he held since May 2004. In this role, he was responsible
for all aspects
of sales, marketing, partner strategy, and customer relations.
During his tenure, company sales realized triple digit growth surpassing
$40 million in the trailing four quarters prior to his appointment
as president and CEO and established the company as the leading
software maker that connects people to government. Blackman is also
a member of the Accela board of directors.
Prior to joining Accela, Blackman was a sales and marketing professional
at Investools, formerly Telescan, Inc., and served as a Field Artillery
Officer in the United States Army. He is a graduate of the University
of Houston with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
