Oklahoma City, OK, Launches OKC Connect Mobile App on Accela Civic Platform

Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based productivity and civic engagement software solutions, today announced that Oklahoma City, OK, has launched OKC Connect, a mobile app customized via Accela Citizen Relationship Management on the Accela Civic Platform. The app implementation is part of the City’s larger initiative to improve resident communication and allow residents to submit service requests, get information about City services and stay connected with updates through their smartphone. By going live with OKC Connect and integrating on the Civic Platform, Oklahoma City will also save staff significant time from having to manually enter 500-600 requests every month.

“Oklahoma City was looking for a better way to connect more efficiently and responsively with residents, and they selected Accela Citizen Relationship Management to meet their specific needs in bridging civic services and information directly with residents in a modern and mobile way,” said Daryl Blowes, EVP/GM of Engagement Solutions for Accela. “Through their branded mobile app, OKC Connect, the City is making it easier than ever before for residents to access the information and services their citizens are wanting. We were thrilled to work with the City to deliver and launch their app to coincide with the launch of their newly redesigned, interactive website as well. Clearly, a commitment to citizen engagement and access is alive and well in Oklahoma City.”
