Accela Legislative Management News Brief
Reno, Nevada, Expands Streamlined Legislative Management Capabilities with Selection of Accela Boards and Commissions
Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based civic engagement solutions, today announced that Reno, NV, has added Accela Boards and Commissions to the multiple legislative management solutions the City leverages on the Accela Civic Platform. The cloud-based application will help simplify the City’s entire process of managing appointments, interviews and board meetings. Boards and Commissions enables agencies to set up automated workflows for reviewing applications and can help simplify the evaluation process by routing those applications to the appropriate internal users.
“Prior to selecting Accela Boards and Commissions solution, Reno was managing more than 20 boards, relying solely on Microsoft Excel and Word to drive organization within multiple government offices,” said Daryl Blowes, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Legislative Management, Accela. “By bringing board governance to the cloud, Reno can easily manage the entire board meeting process from seats terms to sourcing for candidates, in addition to offering greater transparency for citizens.”
