Resort Municipality of Whistler, Selects Accela Civic Platform for Asset Management

Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based productivity and civic engagement software solutions, announced today that the Resort Municipality of Whistler has selected the Accela Civic Platform to efficiently and effectively manage their infrastructure assets and maximize the lifecycle of infrastructure investments. Once integrated, Accela’s solution will help reduce the risk of major incidences such as water main breaks and sewer mains—all of which have significant cost-saving implications—by providing critical, cloud-based tracking data to rate and manage assets with comprehensive inventory and condition assessments.

“The Civic Platform is an online mobile and software solution designed specifically to connect citizens and government, and deliver increased efficiencies to previously manual, resource-intensive processes,” said Maury Blackman, president and CEO for Accela. “With the implementation of the Accela Civic Platform, the Resort Municipality of Whistler will be able to better regulate growth and roadway maintenance projects, while increasing productivity throughout the agency, ultimately maximizing the duration of Whistler’s infrastructure investments.”
