Pasco County, Florida Selects Accela Civic Platform to Streamline Civic Processes, Offer Citizen Engagement and Mobility Solutions
County Benefits from Civic Cloud’s Fast Implementation and Cost Savings
SAN RAMON, Calif. – January 7, 2014 – Accela, Inc., the leading provider of civic engagement solutions for government agencies, announced today that Pasco County, Florida has selected the Accela Civic Platform for an Enterprise Land Management System. Pasco County’s goals are to increase transparency, improve citizen access and streamline civic processes associated with permitting, inspection, licensing, planning, zoning, code enforcement and requests for service. With a population of over 464,000, Pasco County will host in Accela’s Civic Cloud, which helps to reduce costs, implementation time and infrastructure requirements. Today, agencies of all sizes are turning to the Accela Civic Platform to manage functions related to Land Management, Licensing, Asset Management, and Public Health and Safety.

Specifically, Pasco County will use:
Accela Citizen Access™: A cost-effective way to move traditional counter and call center services to the Web, providing citizens with easy and convenient multi-language online access to the city’s permitting, building, planning, public works and fire information and activities. By providing more self-service options, tasks that had previously taken days to complete can now take just hours, or even minutes, leaving Pasco County staff more time to focus on other job functions and leaving contractors, business owners, homeowners, and other members of the community more time to attend to the demands of their busy schedules.
Accela Mobile Office: Designed specifically for field use and leveraging the latest in mapping technology, Accela Mobile Office helps users create inspections, investigations, service requests, work orders, code enforcement cases and manage asset inventories and condition assessments from the field.

Pasco County purchased through the GSA Cooperative Purchasing Program, enabling government agencies to easily purchase Information Technology products and services offered through specific GSA Schedule contracts.
