Although Petaluma had successfully implemented Accela Automation™
in the Community Development Department, inspections were still
being managed using a paper-based system. The City was looking for
a mobile government solution that could streamline inspection management
services and improve productivity in the field.

giving them access to permit-related data in the field and improving
data quality and storage for the entire agency.
The Bottom Line
The City has seen a marked improved in how inspections are processed
by the Department. Inspectors are happy with their mobile system
and office staff are pleased with the reduction in paperwork and
phone calls.
