Accela Failover Service

Accela Failover Service is a vital component of emergency preparedness that allows your agency to protect, secure, and access your critical data and your Accela system at all times. It provides off-site data and system set-up redundancy as well as the domain/technical expertise to restore your system(s) in the most efficient manner possible, at any time, from anywhere.

Be Prepared for Any Emergency
Accela Failover Service provides a standby hosted site for Accela Automation® and its add-on products should an event occur that renders your agency’s primary site unusable. Accela’s hosting facilities are located at Qwest, a tier-1 hosting facility in Sunnyvale, California. Both the primary site and the standby site have matching database servers, including all hardware, operating systems, and software.

Protect Your Ability to Perform Critical Business Functions

Accela Failover Service is a reliable and cost-effective emergency preparedness solution that provides:

Disaster recovery and high availability. Easy-to-manage failover and switchover capabilities allow role reversal between primary and standby databases, minimizing the downtime of the primary database in the event of a disaster.

Remote disaster recovery hosting. The solution allows the standby database to be located at a remote site rather than at the same hosting facility as the primary database, ensuring the availability of the solution in the event of a disaster.

Protection from communication failures. If network connectivity is lost between the primary and the standby database and data cannot be sent from one to the other, the system automatically detects any missing data once connectivity is re-established and resynchronizes the standby database with the primary database.

Ability to incorporate additional products. Additional Accela products can be added to the service at any time, and all data associated with these products can be replicated to the standby database using the same procedures established for the other products supported in the solution.
