What’s New in
Accela Automation 6.4.1? Release Recap
Included below is an overview of the major new features and resolved issues
in version 6.4.1. For a complete list, please contact the Customer
Resource Center.
New Features
Security Policies for Application Types, Workflow Tasks, and Inspection
Types – Enables
agencies to apply a level of security that allows only specified user
groups to view or modify
application types and workflow functions.
View Only Requirement – When creating or editing
a form in the Form Portlet Designer, allows use of different controls
to show, hide, move, and alter the available fields in order to customize
the form to specific agency needs.
Application Specific Information Supervisor-only Edit
– Administrators can configure Application Specific Information
fields to be read-only for non-supervisor roles after an application is
submitted.
Delete & Reassign Workflow on Existing CAPs –
System administrators can activate this feature so users can delete the
current workflow from an existing application and replace it with another
workflow that exists in the same module.
Application Status Update Options – System administrators
can configure security policy settings for the status of an application.
Using Variables in a URL Report – A URL Report
configured in Accela Report Manager will now execute a SQL statement configured
as a parameter variable for the report.
Upgrade ColdFusion from 6.0 to 7.0 – To support
customers beginning a new implementation of Accela Automation Classic
and Accela Vantage360® after June 14, 2007, Accela Automation now
supports ColdFusion MX 7.0. ColdFusion MX 6.0 will be supported until
the Summer 2008 release of Accela Automation.
Report Manager Session Variable for Portlet ID –
A new session variable is provided for each portlet ID. This is available
within Accela Report Manager to allow reports to be created and run for
a specific portlet.
Convert Accela Automation to Use HTTPS – Accela Automation
Classic and Vantage360 Web server security now requires all communication
to be done using secure https communication to protect internal agency
data.
Apply Conditions to External APO Data Source – Accela Automation
now associates conditions to Address, Parcel, and Owner (APO) data that
is stored internally or externally to the Accela Automation database.
Enhance Licensed Professional Reference Data –
Administrators can allow users to record and maintain additional reference
data for licensed professionals beyond the basic information saved in
the basic professional record.
Resolved Issues
GovXML in GetInspectionDistricts Operation – The
GovXML application server now returns complete information in the InspectionDistricts
element from the GetInspectionDistrictsResponse operation.
GIS Portlet-Zoom to Parcel – When working with
the planning and enforcement modules, a user may select a CAP and click
a GIS ID to view a map of the parcel, enabling GIS to zoom to the parcel
attached to the CAP.
Save Attached Tables – Along with all other attached
tables, Accela Automation now properly saves and validates each row and
column associated with application specific information.
Open a Single SPEAR Form from My Navigation – Provides
mutually exclusive selection for the Single Portlet Entry and Review (SPEAR)
form appearance.
Product Roadmap
The next release of Accela Automation will be version 6.4.2 and is scheduled
for release in October 2007.
