Release Recap
Included below is an overview of the major new features and issues
resolved in version 8.6.18. For a complete list of the new features
in this release, please contact the Customer
Resource Center.
Feature Enhancements:
Data Groups: Allows multiple groups to use
a single installation of AMS while hiding or protecting data that
is not needed by all groups.
Database Changes:
None
Resolved Issues:
When a new data group was added, an error
would occur as the preferences were duplicated for the new group.
When a user was signed in as a data group member and selected
the menu options "Work Orders>Schedules", an error
was generated.
When a user modified an existing asset type that
happened to have an attribute named "Rating", they would
get duplicate field errors when they used the "recreate"
option to apply their changes to the asset.
When a user attempted to use the "Inspections>Inspection
Screen" "Rating" button to recalculate the
ratings of an inspection, nothing would happen. The procedure would
appear to run correctly but the inspection ratings were not changed.
When a user completed a work order and specified a completed
date other than the current date, Accela AMS would complete
and close the work order for the specified date, but would use the
current date to update the completed dates on the records that linked
the work order to related assets, addresses, and tasks.
"Invalid use of NULL" errors were occurring when printing
work orders. This error only happened for data group members
that had their data group's "work order numbering" preference
changed from "Standard" to "Annual (sequential by
year)".
When deleting one or more inspections, the system would
generate an error for each inspection deleted. The cause of the
error was that Accela AMS was attempting to delete related records
that did not exist for NODE or COMPONENT asset types.
When creating a new inspection, the user could not enter
data in the “Inspection Detail” grid until after the
inspection was created and the inspection detail form had been closed,
and the user then selected the new inspection for editing.
When the user generated PM schedules that were
related to LINE assets types, the application would generate an
error.
