What’s New in
Accela Wireless 6.6? Release Recap
Included below is an overview of the new features in version 6.6. For
a complete list of the new features and resolved issues in this release,

Center.
New
Features
Action Inspector Tag – Adds a new XML tag to inspection.xml
for reporting. The new tag is named for the inspector who completes or
updates an inspection via wireless, instead of just the inspector to whom
the inspection is assigned. Also, users can add the unit number node to
the xml file.
• Adds a new tag to inspection.xml that named RecordedBy.
• Adds a new tag to inspection.xml that named InspectionUnitNumber.
Grouping List Enhancements – Adds several functions
to the List Grouping tools. Changes include: Use the context menu to expand
or contract a group list; Use the context menu to move a group to the
top of the list.
Enhanced CAP Criteria – New CAP criteria option
“CAPs assigned to the department/user” has been added for
the CAP Query and CAP List Criteria functions. Changes include:
• Download the Departments System Data
• Set Departments and staff Scheduling Task
• Get Departments and Staff from Request All System Data by Schedule
Tasks
• Filter CAPs by Department and Staff
Optional GIS Component Viewer Access For Inspection List
– The inspection list form now displays optional GIS data for selected
inspection records.
Change Start Form – Users can select any form or
list as the default screen to display after logging into Accela Wireless.
GIS Component Viewer Selection to Accela Wireless List View –
Users can use a GIS Viewer in Accela Wireless to locate a matching object
in the associated list view. If the object does not display, it is not
available in GIS. Changes include:
• Selecting Records from the GIS Component on the Asset List/ the
Asset Query Results
• Displaying GIS Data on the Asset Detail
• Selecting Records from the GIS Component on the CAP List/ the
CAP Query Results
• Displaying GIS Data on the CAP Detail
Asset Work Order History – User can download related
Work Order history for Assets and CAPs.
Upload Multiple Files – Adds the ability to attach
multiple files to a CAP in one action.
Product Roadmap
The next release of Accela Wireless will be version 6.7 and is scheduled
for release January 2009.
