What’s New in
6.4? Release Recap
Included below is an overview of the major new features in version 6.4.
For a complete list of the new features in this release, please contact
the Customer Resource Center.
New Features
With the 6.4 release, Accela Citizen Access no longer uses the
IntelliScript™ technology on which previous releases were based.
Instead, it now relies on configuration settings made in Accela Automation®
and utilizes such features as EMSE scripts to provide a better tool for
agencies and a higher quality experience for contractors and citizen users.
These features are included in the 6.4 release:
User Account Registration – Citizens can register
for an account using an e-mail address and password they select. The agency
can configure settings to automatically activate an account or require
agency approval of an account before it is activated. A licensed contractor
with a licensed professional on record in Accela Automation is able to
associate his online user account with that record to allow him or her
to apply for permit types that require a specific license type.
Permit Fee Estimate – A registered citizen user
can create a fee estimate for a permit. The agency administrator determines
which application types are available for online fee estimates, and configures
those application types to be available only for fee estimates or to allow
a fee estimate to be converted to an online permit application.
Permit Application – A registered citizen user
can create a permit application and pay related fees. The agency administrator
determines which application types are available to citizens online. A
user may save a partially completed application in order to return at
a later time and complete it. This allows the user to start an application
without completing it and retains the information so the user can complete
it at a later time.
Permit and Licensed Contractor Research – A citizen
user can search for information about permits and licensed contractors
using a permit number, contractor license number, or location information,
for example, contractor business address or permit address.
Public License Application – An unregistered citizen
user can create a public license application and pay related fees. The
agency administrator determines which application types are available
to citizens online.
Administrator Reports – The administrator has access
to these reports, and can make them available to other agency users:
• Transaction Report – lists the number of permit applications
created and associated fees for a specific time period.
• Web Usage Statistics Report – lists the number of
hits on the citizen access Web site for a specific time period.
• Inspection Schedule Report – lists the inspections
scheduled using the citizen access Web site for a specific time period.
• Transaction Statistics – lists the type and number of transactions
completed using the citizen access Web site.
Product Roadmap
