Citizen Access 6.6? Release Recap
Included below is an overview of the major new features in version 6.6.

New
Features
Accela Citizen Access Configuration
– The new Citizen Access configuration is an easy tool for configuring
and customizing Accela Citizen Access, providing the following functions:
• Ability to modify text, display or hide fields, customize drop-down
lists, limit search functionality, define
• permissions to information, and so
forth to all Accela Citizen Access pages
• Ability to customize all e-mails related to Accela Citizen Access
• Ability to enable modules, features, and settings that are modular
specific
• Ability to the configure module tabs and their display order within
the Accela Citizen Access pages
• Ability to define more properties for each individual field on
a form
• Ability to define the fields that display in the designated sections
of a form
• Ability to define the Settings of the Accela Citizen Access Site:
Modules and Feature Settings
Need to Display Ad-hoc Workflow Tasks – Accela
Citizen Access now also displays the ad-hoc workflow tasks on the Permit
Details page in the Processing Status section.
Open Existing CAPs for Payments – Provides the
ability to access and open an existing CAP to provide the ability to pay
open balances, provide additional information, upload or view additional
documents, and so forth. This feature is important for License CAPs or
any CAP that is renewable. It is also important to provide a way to collaborate
between the agency and public users on existing CAPs.
• Provides the ability for agencies to display the fees associated
to CAPs on the details page
• Provides the ability for user to pay fees on CAPs (Permits, Licenses,
Service Requests) in Accela Citizen Access
• Provides the ability for user to view the receipt for the fees
associated to the CAP
Ability for Users at Different Levels to View Documents –
Provides the ability to control which document types can be accessed and
opened for viewing by anonymous (non-registered) Accela Citizen Access
users.
New UI for ASI Tables in Accela Citizen Access –
Provides the ability to offer a public-facing user-friendly interface
for the collection and display of information using Application Specific
Information (ASI) Tables.
Exclude Specific CAP Types from Search – Provides
the ability to limit CAP searches by CAP Type in Accela Citizen Access.
Restrict Results of Land Information Search – Provides
agencies with two functions: the ability to limit who can view Applicant
information on the CAP Detail screen and exclude the Owner information
from Land Information searches.
Ability to Filter CAP in Search Display by App Status
– Provides the ability to configure and filter search results displayed
by application status.
Limit CAP Search Results to Specific Licensed Professional
– Provides the ability to limit CAP search results to those CAPs
that are only applicable to the individual Licensed Professional. This
allows the Licensed Professional to only view the results that match their
Licensed Professional's License Number(s). For example, when a Licensed
Professional performs a search, Accela Citizen Access only returns CAPs
that are associated with their matching license number(s).
Registered User to Add Licenses via Account Management –
A registered Accela Citizen Access user needs to be able to associate
one or more licenses to their registration account by using the Account
Management feature.
• Provides the ability for Registered Accela Citizen Access users
to add more than one license to their citizen user
• account
• Provides an Add a License button on the Account Management screen.
When users click the button, they are
• allowed to Look Up a license and
associate it to their Accela Citizen Access registered account.
Product Roadmap
The next release of Accela Citizen Access will be version 6.7 and is scheduled
for release January 2009.
