Better government through civic engagement
Ed Daihl is the Chief Operating Officer of Accela. He has nearly four decades of government, SaaS and systems integration experience, and has driven top-line growth and increased margins for public and private equity-backed companies. Most recently, Ed served as Senior Vice President for Epicor, where he managed automotive and retail software solutions spanning 5,000+ clients in 11 international markets.

From 2006 to 2014 Ed served as CEO for Surgical Information Systems (SIS), a leading provider of software solutions for the healthcare industry. At SIS, Ed led the release of numerous new product lines that enabled substantial revenue growth for the company, as well as significant reduction in implementation time and complexity for SIS’ customers. Previously, he also served in various executive positions including President at both CAPS Logistics and BaaN Supply Chain.
Khaled Jaouni joined Accela in October 2010, bringing more than 14 years of experience in business management, development and transformation, as well as systems integration. Prior to joining Accela, he held a number of senior positions with leading multinational firms in the United States and the Middle East, including Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini, and Boeing. His background includes leadership of numerous strategic initiatives, as well as solution-delivery and program-recovery projects for various Fortune 100 companies and leading Middle East businesses. Khaled was also a Partner at Ithmar Capital, a Dubai-based private equity firm, where he served on the boards of seven companies. The Harvard Business School published a case study exclusively on Ithmar Capital as an example of a venture capital success story in the Middle East.

Khaled holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University and a master's degree in business administration from the Edinburgh Business School. He also has been a guest speaker at several regional business conferences.
Scott Connors has worked for the City of Pittsfield, MA for more than 14 years. Currently, he is the Project Manager for the City’s IT department and was responsible for helping redesign the municipality’s website. He has previously served as a dispatch supervisor and 911 operator for the City.

Max Schnoedl serves as Accela's Chief Operating Officer, overseeing Product, Sales, Delivery, Marketing and Accela's General Managers. Prior to his current role, Max served as Accela's Chief Financial Officer and led the company's executive committee, focusing on strategic growth priorities. Previously, Max served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, raising $200+M capital and leading the acquisitions of numerous civic tech companies.


Before joining Accela, Max served as Vice President at Deutsche Bank San Francisco and helped software companies accelerate growth. Previously, Max worked with Deutsche Bank in New York and Frankfurt as Vice President in Group Strategy, and in Regional Management in Moscow, Russia. Max started his career in government, as a cabinet member of Austria’s Federal Minister of Science.


Max holds a Ph.D. from the University of Vienna, Austria, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He also serves on the Board of BRZ GmbH, a leading European e-government provider with €250+m in revenue.


Eddie is a Principal Product Manager at Accela and the former CEO/Co-Founder of Civic Insight, a civic tech startup focused on making information about buildings available to the public in a simple and easy to use interface. He has 10 years of experience bringing innovative technology projects to civic-minded organizations. He was previously a Code for America Fellow in 2012 and co-creator of BlightStatus for the City of New Orleans.
