County of Monterey Environmental Health Bureau Upgrading to Accela’s Cloud-Based Solution

County turns to Accela to oversee management of water systems, ensure safe agricultural management practices

San Ramon, Calif. (February 9, 2022) – Accela®, the trusted provider of cloud solutions for government, today announced that Monterey County on California’s Central Coast, known worldwide for its coastline, agriculture, and worldwide tourism, selected Accela Environmental Health to further protect its residents as it fulfills its environmental public health mission.

The County of Monterey Health Bureau bears responsibility for many common environmental health programs, and is also responsible for protecting the County’s many small water systems, regulating hazardous materials and hazardous waste, and contributing to safe agricultural practices. The department oversees both rural and dense areas.

When the project is complete (scheduled May 2022), Accela’s cloud-based EH solution will be used to review, permit, and inspect businesses and projects in the County. The project also includes mandatory electronic reporting to the State of California as well as many local integrations.
