Government Technology Announces Accela in GovTech 100 for Fourth Consecutive Year

The annual top 100 list released by GovTech highlights industry-leading companies in the government technology space

SAN RAMON, CA – Government Technology announced today that Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based productivity solutions for government, earned a spot in their GovTech 100 company ranking for the fourth consecutive year.

The GovTech 100 is an annual list compiled and published by Government Technology as a compendium of 100 companies serving government in unique, innovative and effective ways.

Today’s announcement builds on a successful 2018 for Accela. In March of 2018, Accela launched Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions designed to modernize and improve the service delivery of state and local governments. SaaS offerings provide radically faster time to deployment and lower total cost of ownership compared traditional solutions. Accela CEO Gary Kovacs said he intends to expand Accela’s influence and impact in government in the year ahead.

“I’m inspired by the work our customers do every day to create communities that are growing, thriving and safe,” Kovacs said. “I look forward to working with our customers, partners, employees and investors to lead Accela on its continued path of being a world-class technology provider for governments of all sizes.”

In September 2018, Accela announced a global go-to market collaboration with Microsoft that will enhance and further promote Accela’s solutions. Accela’s government customers will leverage Accela’s industry-focused solutions with Microsoft Azure. During the last 18 months, Accela also strengthened its leadership team to best serve its customers rapidly evolving needs with the hiring of a number of technology veterans, including the recent hiring of their new CEO Gary Kovacs.
