San Ramon, Calif. (October 18, 2022)Accela, the trusted provider of cloud solutions for government, today unveiled its Fall 2022 Release, which includes significant enhancements to Accela Civic Platform, Accela Citizen Access, Accela Mobile, and the Civic Application for Environmental Health. “As state and local governments remain focused on improving service delivery and building resilient communities, Accela is committed to delivering the most agile, purpose-built technology to help meet their needs,” said Troy Coggiola, chief product officer at Accela. “Our Fall 2022 Release is a testament to our commitment to continuing to evolve our products and services with features and functionality that will accelerate government digital transformation.”

The Fall 2022 Release includes several updates to Accela Civic Platform such as a new user interface to elevate administration and usability, a new pre-built, PayPal Commerce platform integration to simplify payment processes and support PayPal transactions, new Communication Manager authentication protocols, a stronger password policy to increase security, and a new staging environment that makes software updates easier for agencies to implement.

  • Automated convenience fee calculations by adding a minimum fee option in fee management.
  • Expanded API functionality for GIS, records, and inspections.

  • Software to support the end-of-life Microsoft Basic Authentication for Microsoft Exchange Online users and modernize authentication protocols for the Civic Platform’s Communication Manager.

In addition to Accela Civic Platform updates, the Fall 2022 Release enhances the Civic Application for Environmental Health to make it easier for residents to access food inspection history through Accela Citizen Access.
