Aneesh Chopra, Former Chief Technology Officer of the United States to Headline Accelarate 2018

Annual thought leader and customer conference to focus on emerging regulatory arenas and the future of governing

Selected as the nation’s first Chief Technology Officer by President Obama, Aneesh Chopra was tasked with promoting innovation, transparency, and collaboration within the federal government. An energetic groundbreaker who previously served as Virginia’s fourth Secretary of Technology, Chopra catapulted the nation’s technology agenda forward by fostering new ideas and encouraging government-wide collaboration. He is currently the President of CareJourney, a Hunch Analytics company that harnesses open health data to provide patient-specific insights and workflow automation for accountable care organizations. In his book, Innovative State: How New Technologies Can Transform Government (2014), he offers an absorbing look at how open government can establish a new paradigm for the digital era and enable us to tackle our most challenging problems, from economic development to affordable health care.

Dustin Haisler, Chief Innovation Officer of e.Republic

Previously the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and assistant city manager for Manor, TX. A member of Code for America’s original steering committee, Dustin pioneered government use of commercial technologies not before used in the public sector – including Quick-Response (QR) barcodes, crowdsourcing and gamification. Haisler helped design and launch one of the first government open innovation programs in the United States in 2010, which received global recognition as a new model of citizen engagement and innovation. Named a Government Technology Top 25 Doer, Dreamer and Driver in 2009, his work has been featured in Wired, Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, Inc. and the Today Show on NBC.
