August 31, 2021 – Coweta County is excited to announce a new partnership with Accela®, the leading provider of cloud-based solutions for state and local government, that will provide online community development services starting Monday, September 13, 2021. This includes the building, business licenses, code enforcement, development, planning and zoning divisions.
“As we continue to move into a digital age, we are thrilled to expand our online offerings to accelerate plans and permit approvals,” shares Angela White, Assistant Director of Coweta County Community Development. “This new, convenient technology will enhance accessibility, provide quicker turnarounds, boost transparency, and better allow us to keep up with our growing community.”
As opposed to everything being done in-person via paperwork, citizens will now go to www.coweta.ga.us and click on a “Community Development” icon (coming soon) where they will be redirected to the Accela Civic Platform. Citizens can then submit applications, proposals, plan reviews, approvals and building inspections all online. Furthermore, they can check the site for status updates and communicate with Coweta County staff. If a citizen is in need of in-person assistance, they can come to the Community Development office located on the 2nd floor at 22 East Broad Street. A staff member will then assist them at one of the new computers in the Community Development lobby.
