Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based productivity and civic engagement solutions for government, today announced that the City of Aurora, Colorado, has selected Accela Land Management and Accela Licensing and Case Management on the Accela Civic Platform to help manage and regulate licensing, and streamline planning, permitting, inspection and code enforcement services. Currently an Accela Citizen Relationship Management (CRM) customer, the City of Aurora voted to approve the $3 million+ civic tech initiative to extend agency efficiencies around application approvals and processing, and improve the service experience for citizens.
“Aurora was looking for a robust technology platform to help broaden their capabilities in managing the growing volume of permitting and licensing applications filed,” said Mark Jung, Chairman and acting CEO of Accela. “By making the investment in multiple solutions on the Accela Civic Platform, Aurora will now have greater access to productivity tools and help ensure residents receive timely insight into request and project status. We are thrilled to support Aurora in their efforts to strengthen communications and processes for the City.”
“Aurora is dedicated to delivering exceptional citizen service and performance. Having a reliable technology solution platform like the Civic Platform in place to grow with us is critical to us being able to do that on a consistent basis,” said Aleta Jeffress, CIO for the City of Aurora.
With Accela Land Management and Licensing & Case Management, Aurora will be able to track and manage the regulatory processes associated with licensing, certifications, and inspections, and it will provide a single location for uploading, reviewing, and approving all planning, and permitting tasks. In addition to the City’s newly adopted services, Aurora will continue to leverage Accela Citizen Relationship Management to better engage with residents and increase overall productivity across its government agencies.
