San Ramon, Calif. – July 20, 2021 – Accela, the leading provider of SaaS solutions for state and local government, today announced that Santa Barbara County Environmental Health Services launched a critical technology modernization project in June 2021. The project licenses Accela Environmental Health and engages SEP Technologies to upgrade its permitting, inspection, billing, and time tracking data system. The upgrade will introduce a host of new capabilities for the Food, Community Health, Hazardous Materials (CUPA), Water, Waste, and other programs. Santa Barbara County also relies on Accela’s cloud software for a wide range of services including Land Management, Building/Planning, and Cannabis Licensing.
“When a county invests in its Environmental Health employees, community, and permit-holders in these ways, it quickly encourages all involved to refocus on the education, monitoring, and enforcement activities which are so critical to protecting the public’s health,” explained Darryl Booth, Accela’s General Manager of Environmental Health.
The project will kick-off in the next 30 days and will be completed in 2022. To learn more about Accela’s Solutions, please visit https://www.accela.com/solutions/.
